Privacy Policy
CalCo Card (“we,” “us”) helps locals find and redeem deals at participating Calhoun County businesses. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account info: name, email, phone number, home city, and membership status (Free or Member).
- Usage: deals you view, save, or redeem; verification events at businesses.
- Business info: profile, hours, deals, and analytics for partner accounts.
- Payment: processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
How we use information
- Provide membership, deals, and digital card verification.
- Send service messages (receipts, account security).
- Send deal alerts and updates by email and/or text when you opt in.
- Operate giveaways and improve the service.
- Show aggregated analytics to businesses (not your private profile details beyond what’s needed to verify a visit).
Texts (SMS)
If you provide a phone number at signup or when redeeming a free deal, you agree we may text you deal alerts and membership updates. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts; reply HELP for help. You can also turn texts off in Account → Notifications.
Sharing
We share data with service providers (hosting, email, SMS, payments) under contract. Participating businesses see verification results needed to honor a deal. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Update notification preferences in your Account.
- Request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.
- Cancel membership anytime; some records may be kept for legal, fraud, or accounting reasons.
